Title: 24v electrical gremlins Post by nice_1 on Oct 11th, 2008, 2:10pm I would appreciate anyones thoughts on the following. I have noticed over the last couple of days when it turn the ign. off i have a couple of warning lights oil, abs. dimly lit. I noticed this happening a few weeks ago, but the problem seemed to disappear. Its re occured again causing a flat battery this morning. Something which may be coincidental or connected to this problem is the sunroof now refuses to work. A couple of people have mentioned it could be the battery problem or the alternator back feeding.... :-/ anyone got any thoughts |

Title: Re: 24v electrical gremlins Post by Scorpio_Mike on Oct 11th, 2008, 10:33pm Have to agree with Simmo - sounds like a failing alternator. Battery going flat points to alternator not charging or pushing out only a low charge, glowing lights points to alternator rectifier pack failing. Just my 2 cents but sounds very similar to a problem I had on a car a while back. |

Title: Re: 24v electrical gremlins Post by workshopboy on Oct 12th, 2008, 9:22pm Hi Had the same problem last week on my 16v ultima It was the fuse box next to the battery full of water even though I have a battery tray fitted. Bought one from the breakers and fitted it. Sorted all my problems out. Andy |
