Anyone had experienced this... Tailgate coming unlocked while driving ? its becoming really annoying not to mention dangerous especially when I have the dogs in the back. Even when I stop to shut it again, it could be open again within a few hundred yards. ???

Have a read of THIS article (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/tailgate.htm). There can only be two things. Either the lock is faulty or the 'pin' is not adjusted correctly. ;)

Don't like to guess at problems but having been in IT Support for the best 20 years you get used to looking at things from other angles.

if you can't find a fault I would also have a look at your remote. ie are the contacts breaking down inside the fob, and opening the door due to that. I know it from the far out side, but after years of seeing stupid things don't by inteligent people I try to look for other reasons as to why thing happen.

Simple solution if you have two fobs, is to change it and see if it still happens while the regular used one is not in the car. The conectors on the circuit boards don't last forever and these sort of conection (having had mine apart yesterday!) can be prone to failure, specially if you regually use it to open the boot.

Worth a try if you can't find fault else where.
