Title: where is....................... Post by bizzay1 on Dec 12th, 2008, 5:19pm the oil pressure switch ?? I have changed my waterpump (thanks Baz) but when I start it the oil light does not go out, I presume I have knocked the wire off, but I can't for the life of me find the oil pressure switch, and I can't make out where it is from the manual - someone tell me please !! |

Title: Re: where is....................... Post by lube-o-rific on Dec 12th, 2008, 5:48pm Don't know where it is on the 24v engine... On the 12v engine, its on the sump, underneath the A/C pump. It's a place to start? :) |

Title: Re: where is....................... Post by Highlander on Dec 12th, 2008, 7:31pm Baz did the same when changing his stat ;) "Now at this point, I noticed a wire dangling and as I hadn’t unplugged any down there, panic set in. It turned out to be the cable to the oil pressure switch which is also in a masterly location: behind the thermostat!! And when I had been removing the stat, I had broken the top off! Now it was 5:25 in the afternoon, but my mate who owns the garage, got on to his local supplier and within half an hour, I had a new oil pressure switch, new belt and a new water temp sender as well (because we weren’t quite sure what had actually broken!)
