i am changing my rad tomorrow on my 2.9 24v cosie how much water dose the system hold and how much of this should be antifreeze, dave

Hi there, according to this page....http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/engdata24v.htm ....the cossie takes 9.5 litres of coolant. The antifreeze mix should be about 50%  :)

what 8pints in total or dose the system old 16 pints thats a lot of water. dave

9.5 litres = 16.7176 UK pints, so you will actually need 8.3588 pints of antifreeze to be exact  :P

Not sure antifreeze comes in pints anymore though  ::)........maybe in Siberia possibly ?  ;D

find a local motor factor - recently got 5l of Comma xstreem green for £12.

Dont go to some local or well known car parts dealers - charge a small fortune - 1 shop wanted £5/l  :o
