You'd need to look at it to see exactly where its leaking from, it could be the pump or maybe slightly more likely to be one of the rubber hoses around it has perished.

Taking the hose off would certainly make your leak worse ;)

Was it the bottom hose on the pump or the radiator you took off?

If it is the pump you will ONLY get a new one from Ford, there wasnt a pattern part made for them, despite what the 12 year old assistant at Halfords will tell you just before he hands you a Granada pump ;)

not sure on the price but £100 plus, £150ish if i remember correctly BUT you can modify a 12v or a Granada pump or stick a second hand one on.

I'm certainly not a fan of spending £150 on a water pump for a £500 car ;)

i agree with u highlander but when u have gone as deep as me what do u do. i cant give up and i dont like the look of that conversion on the 12v.
