Title: Re: Hit and Drive off Post by Scorpio_Mike on Feb 3rd, 2009, 9:07pm Sorry to hear about that. :o If it is just the bumper then a 2nd hand one should not cost more than £50. 4 or 5 cans of aerosol paint is enough to do a reasonable job. Electric window switches are easy to replace. Advertise for what you need in the parts wanted section and I'm sure you will get some replies. ;) |

Title: Re: Hit and Drive off Post by gawsworthboy on Feb 4th, 2009, 9:39am Hi....get the bumper repaired or replaced if the car is a good one.....crazy to let her go if thats all she needs....insurance company's are barmy. I know of 5 or 6 cars that have been scrapped because of minor body damage that the DIY,er could have repaired. It's so frustrating.....saw an S reg facelift in a Northwich scrappy that only had cracked front headlight and small crack to front bumper...the scrappy had lifted the car thru the windows thereby destroying the roof and leaving the interior open to the elements....what a waste!!!! Get her repaired matey....good luck. ::) |
