Hi guys

Does anyone know where I can get a gearbox sump gasket for my 1996 2.3 Auto Scorp.

The autobox is really sluggish in the cold and I figure and oil change would do it good but there is no drain plug on the sump pan so I need to take it off and replace the gasket.

Anywhere other than Ford? Looking on the web there are loads of websites saying they are "Ford Parts" I don't know which to use

If you're going to take the sump off and change the oil you'd be well advised to replace the filter at the same time, which is a Ford only part, I'd get the gasket there too,

Ok Highlander - thanks for that - I know this may seem a stupid question but how do I go about contacting them?

Like I say, type in Ford Parts on google and hundreds of things come up

Do it online through these guys, they are a Ford agent, Ford parts but cheaper :)

If you are changing the filter you will probably have to change the bolt thats secures it as well, new design filters need a longer (or maybe shorter ::)) bolt
