Title: Re: bleeding brake Post by Simmo on Apr 26th, 2009, 11:58am If you have managed to read the link make sure that you read section 3 (3) re keeping the fluid jar 300mm ABOVE the bleed nipple. This seems to be a very important point. If the pedal is still spongy then there is still air in the system. |

Title: Re: bleeding brake Post by Jonnycab on Apr 26th, 2009, 3:53pm As Simmo says, it's important to keep the jar above the bleed nipple to maintain pressure. If you don't then the air gets back into the caliper via the bleed nipple thread when the pedal is released :) I overlooked this part of the procedure recently & it nearly drove me insane trying to work out how air was getting into the system ::) |
