Try looking at the power saver fuse no 36 ( I think) That controls a whole load of things .

Yes all fuses are intact, used the diagnostic mode using rear window heater button, got the beep on all doors, but not on the interior lights, they would not switch on till i took it out of diagnostic mode. Where is the timer module situated?

And again thanks for the replies.

the timer module is just above driver's legs ;) you need to take off the coin box etc :) and you'll find it. it's a black box with hundreds of wires coming in and out of it :) it's the same thing that 'bongs' when lights are switched on and you open the door.

Thanks for your replies, you have been of great help, will wait till i come across a timer module before i start taking things apart. Parts are hard to come by.

fuses are ok but have you checked the relays? Things that might have failed are:

relay R5 and R16
fuse no. 24 and 36
and the timer module

all of those, if broken, may cause the problem.

Hi,
I had this problem a few weeks back. Checked all the relevant relays and fuses and they were fine. I knew that certains aspects of the timer module are always active even with the ignition off (suc as foor timing the boot light etc.) so I thought that it may be the module required re-setting. I simply disconnected the battery waited half an hour for any capacitors to discharge and then re-connected. Hey presto! all working again. Might help.
