Well I bought a set of Cosworth discs and pads from Eugene:

And while waiting for them to arrive I had a thought to drill them ;) if only for the looks ;)
Stuart says someone has done such a thing here and could advice.

Is it possible to do so? Of course I'd have to ask Stuart to help me as I don't even have a proper driller but still I'm very tempted by the idea :)

hi there

don't even try and do it yourself! the discs will just shatter when you use them.

iirc, the drilling (and grooving) are done under high temp, etc, so it's not just a case of drilling.

if you want drilled/grooved discs, buy them from Mtec100 on ebay. that's what is on my old scorpio.

Thanks for the advice Andrew :) Just what I was looking for, a simple yes or no answer :) I leave them just the way they are, and when it's time to change them will fit in a drilled/grooved set :)

Woj...did you get calipers as well ?....reason I ask is cos I'm not sure those discs will fit your 2.3. They may be too large for the calipers & also you may have solid discs on the back of yours which means the caliper won't be wide enough to take the vented discs :)

If you already have the calipers, then forget I ever brought the subject up ;)

you're right about that Jonny ;) they won't fit ;D

but my beloved friend Stuart decided to trade me cossie calipers for my 2.3 8)
