Title: Diff Ratio
Post by GrumpyOne on May 30th, 2009, 12:30am
Hi

My first question of no doubt many :D

Would anyone happen to know the diff ratio of the Scorpio 24V circa 1998?
And would a bellhousing from a 2.8 fit the 2.9 24V?

Thanks
Colin

JC.
That table is OK for Grumpy, but the 2.3 has a 3.91 diff.

Thanks for that, I looked in the technical section several times and completly missed the rear axle section ??? must be old age.

Any ideas about the 2.8 bellhousing?

Cheers
Colin

Yep, the type 9 bellhousing bolts straight on  to the 24v - but the torque and BHP output of the 24V will turn your gearbox to jelly in moments unless you drive like a granny and never go over 3200 rpm  ;D

Better off sourcing a RWD converted MT75 box from someone like XR4i Spares or Capri Club International
