Post by Tons_of_fun on Jun 16th, 2009, 8:01am
Hi all. Was talking to a chap yesterday who recons he conditions his leather seats with baby LOTION  :o :o :o. Just wondering if any of you guys have heard of this ? ? . Might be a cheaper alternative to autoglym  ::) ( yeah i know...Im tight )  ;D ;D ;D

hi there

yep, i've heard that too. also wiping them with baby wipes.

i'll stick to leather care.

that being said, i'm using turtle wax leather care at the moment. not as good a cleaner as autoglym, but leaves a nicer shine and lasts longer. i also have autoglym leather cleaner, if i need it.

hth

i've also heard about them being used for leather care with satisfying effects so it might be worth a try...

I used leather care from Lidl. Quite good stuff actually.

Well i gave the passenger seat a good going over with some Johnsons lotion today ( just hope the little un dosent need it now )  ::) ::) ;D. To be honest im not overly impressed  :-/. It took a lot of effort for the lotion to be absorbed & the finished result was quite matt looking despite frantic buffing  :o. Im sure it will give the seats all the moisturising they need but cosmetically it dosent ring my bell  :-*. Think i'll stick with the Autoglym cream in future. Still with the credit crunch & all it was worth a try  ;). Thanks chaps.....Craig :)
