Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by lesterlad on Jun 17th, 2009, 11:29pm How much were the pollen filters and the forte cleaner Gazza ? I know halfords do a cleaner but it's 12 quid a shot, a tad expensive for an aerosol can in my mind |

Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by Gazza_UK on Jun 17th, 2009, 11:39pm Hi Rodders Filters were £10 ( for 3 ) karr parts Uppingham road PM SENT also the forte air con stuff got from mates garage he had a spare can left ;) |

Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by scorpio_man on Jun 18th, 2009, 8:36am hi there you can get a can of cleaner (car plan) from tesco for £5. remember to put a towel under it to catch any drops! ;) hth |

Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by Jonnycab on Jun 18th, 2009, 11:45pm Hi Gazza, can you post pics next time you change the air filter as well ;D P.S....the best air-con cleaner I've used was the Comma aerosol stuff. It's not foam so it's not messy, it's similar to the Forte stuff & just releases it contents as a gas which gets circulated around all the ducting killing all the bacteria & makes it smell lovely & fresh.......it's about £12 a can though, so not cheap :) |

Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by Gazza_UK on Jun 18th, 2009, 11:56pm Thats a bit more difficult and best left to the experts }{ }{ But Just for you Johny I will do one in the morning ;) But joking apart the Comma aerosol is all thats around now days. . . I will pop up to Tesco's and try there car plan is this an aerosol can trigger spray ? |
||
Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by Jonnycab on Jun 19th, 2009, 12:01am That's good, cos I've always wondered which way round the air filter should go, as there are no arrows }{ The Tesco stuff probably isn't an aerosol trigger spray cleaner. Scorpio_man said, you have to remember to put a towel under to catch any drops, so probably the foam stuff :) |
||
Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by Gazza_UK on Jun 19th, 2009, 12:17am you sarcastic s*d }{ }{ Whats with catching the drops ? :o dont like the sound of that can it damage plastic or even worse the leather |

Title: Re: Pollen Filters Post by scorpio_man on Jun 19th, 2009, 9:35am hi there no, the car plan stuff is an aerosol. you put it behind the front passenger seat and it goes off like a fountain!!!! :o you have the towel under it to catch most of the moisture the falls back down and it catches the drips of the back of the seat. i make it out worse than it is. you just use the towel to give the centre arm rear and seat a wee wipe. doesn't leave any marks or anything. it's just so you know or you'll be left with a little puddle for a hour or two. and it costs £5! ;D |
