Title: Rear spring Post by wojtekor on Jun 23rd, 2009, 11:14pm I've just noticed that my driver's side rear wheel is seating deeper in the arch about 3cm then the passenger one. What I mean by that is that the space between the tyre and the arch is smaller on one side. I had a hunch that was confirmed by Stuart that it's the rear spring that either snapped or just is broken. It still bounces back but much less then the other one. I need to change the springs then, Stuart has a link to a guy in Glasgow from whom I can buy them for 20ish a piece. Not bad so I'm going to change both of them. The question is though how hard is it to do? Well I don't have tools or knowledge to do it myself but am just wondering how much would a garage charge for changing both springs... If it's silly money I may consider asking someone a favour for some cash reward... ;) |
