Title: Reversing Radar fault
Post by Nunnspoet on Jun 24th, 2009, 7:28pm
My reversing warning lights are playing up  >:(.  On engaging reverse the light cluster in the back of my 24 valve estate lights up flashing the Red Yellow and Green lights at the same time  ::) then the Yellow and Green lights go out and just the Red stays either flashing or steady.

This happens whether there is an obsacle behind me or not.

Any ideas how to sort this out please?

Mike

I'd start with checking the wiring.

Have you given them a clean Mike?

dirt and ice will do that (Dont think it'll be ice though) ;)

Cheers Wojteker and Highlander.  I'll have a good look around as soon as me pooooorrrllly baddy back will allow.
Come to think of it I gave her a really good wash underneath after the weather got better and the  Winter salts had had time to be washed from the roads.  There could be a connection there, or is it a dic-connection  ::)?

;D

:)
I gave her a gentle wash yesterday with particular attention to the sensor "viewing eyes" with the result that the radar seems to be working perfectly.  Just tried it out without starting her up and on came the yellow light which is good as the gates are close behind the car.  Time will tell  ::)
