Hi,

How much does a stripped (with no trim whatsoever) front door weigh approximately? Thinking of buying a good 2nd hand door instead of painting and save some effort...

well it's pretty d**n heavy... don't know how much they weight exactly but quite a bit...

It's not just to avoid painting, there is rust on the side and a poor hammering work somebody did to straighten it out. Is 40 kilos far from the truth?

Sierra Estate rear door including fittings and glass weighed in at 18 kilos when packed ( i sold some a while back)

assuming you remove the glass, fittings and electricals, I'd guess a scorp front door to be about the same

Found out it is only 22 kilos without trim, but volymetric weight used by the couriers is the enemy.
