Hi,

I'm looking at buying an M reg Ford Scorpio and for some strange reason it only has a 6 CD changer. I currently have a Mondeo Ghia X which has a 2007 Radio cassette with a 2050 CD Auto Changer which holds 10 discs. I know the Scorpio has radio stalk which the Mondeo doesn't but it appears to have the space on the dash for two units. Will it be easy to change and will it all work if I connect my Mondeo radio/CD changer units to the car?

6cd changer from new my friend. luxury then!!!!

10 cd changer wont work with Scorpios player (Has only 6 cd support) and you can't fit Mondeos player to Scorpio (different form factor)

I just can't understand why a lower model car which the Mondeo is has 10 CD's whilst the executive car range only has 6. The Scorpio is M reg and the Mondeo Ghia X is N reg which is when they were first introduced!

I'm going to miss my 4 CD's!

But you can fit Xcarlink and voila, you have support for over 50 cd's (gigabytes of mp3's) if you rip them to usb-stick and use it as storage

In a Mondeo you need lots of cd's to drown it out and take your mind off what your traveling in but Scorpio's are refined so you dont need as many cd's ;)

With a proper adaptor you can plug in a 40 disc changer, it makes no difference whatsoever and the head unit has nothing to do with the no of cds
