Title: Re: Changing camshafts - correct tool? Post by Tekno on Sep 26th, 2009, 8:49pm Thanks. I'll see if they have reasonable delivery costs. They don't say it directly on site.. have to wait for them to notice my order. |

Post by Tekno on Oct 26th, 2009, 12:23am http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/engines/dohc2_3/2300Camshafts.pdf In page 4, what is "chain tensioner hydraulic plunger" ? I cant find it from www.elcats.ru (http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&hl=fi&js=y&u=www.elcats.ru&sl=ru&tl=en&history_state0=) Does it have alternative names or what is it's FINIS ? How much does that cost? And how much does cost new tappets? |

Title: Re: Changing camshafts - correct tool? Post by tlundkvi on Oct 26th, 2009, 2:38pm Not after I moved from Germany, check with tero anttila first to get his quote, many Ford items on yatego can are the same price at Finnish FMD or very close. It's just the 24V tensioners that are hard to get, the 2.3 engine is in many car models. |

Title: Re: Changing camshafts - correct tool? Post by tlundkvi on Oct 26th, 2009, 5:42pm You may get this relatively cheap from a sparepart dealer who resells stuff from Koivunen OY (fixus etc.) as well. |

Title: Re: Changing camshafts - correct tool? Post by Tekno on Oct 28th, 2009, 7:39am Ok. There is some confusion on 2.0 16V and 2.3 16V tappets. Are tappets itself + springs same? If yes, why 2.3 16V has different finis for tappets+springs -set BUT same finis on tappets and springs separately? http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/1356/mitaah.png :o ::) |
