Is it auto or manual.

I towed with my manual estates without an issue. They will quite happily pull a 750kg twin axle trailer with another Diesel Scorpio estate on the back.

Managed to deliver other stuff on the trailer of varying weights. The most important thing is to load the trailer/ caravan correctly. The self levelling suspension is a great help.

A few piccies.

Shouldn't be a problem, IMO.

Reminds me of the time when I had a 24V Senator,
& I was towing a 4 wheel trailer with a V12 Jag on the back.

Pulled it fine, but out of interest popped into work to check the weight......grossed 5.4 tons  }{

Back to the original question though, the 2.5 TD (which I now have) will pull it fine.

brownie, is yours a saloon or estate?

both will pull it but a saloon may need some spring assister's on the back as they are not self levelling

They can be though, although unlikely. I have a self-levelled cossie ultima saloon (factory fitted).
