Just discovered a clever thing today, Whenever i start car its always in A/C mode, when switching ac off and driving for a while then stopping, when restarting ac is still off, this seems to be the same however many times i stop and restart, but if i leave it for a couple of hours then start im back to a/c mode, is this normal, anyway i like it ;D

It is supposed to work like that, the default setting is ON but it will remember what the last setting was for about 1 hour ....see THIS (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/handbook054.gif)

My A/C comes back on 30 secs after i switch it off.......... :( Rather annoying

Don't forget everyone ;)....with climate control, if the the air distribution switch is set to 'screen', then the air-con is on by default & can only be turned off if you turn the distribution switch back :)

Are you sure this correct jonnycab? ;)

Cant you just press the air con button to turn off rather than turning the distribution down. I just turn aircon off by pressing the aircon button. or has my scorp got a problem :-/

If the air distribution (vent) switch is set to windscreen, then the air-con is on....
......even if you press the button & the green light goes off.......it's still on ::)

Don't ask me why, because I don't know :-/.....it's just the way Ford designed it ???

JC is quite correct , its because that for rapid screen clearing the A/C is ON Also remember that the A/C will not be operative if the outside temperature drops below 4C although the compressor may be engaged
