Title: Again Rear Brakes! Post by PJDavis on Oct 17th, 2009, 5:23am Hello to all I'm about to do a replacement of rear pads, I have the correct tool thanks to those that pointed me in the right direction! Naturally I shall wind the pistons back into the caliper, but when everything is back together, do I "take-up-the-slack" with the foot-brake, or the hand-brake, or is there a particular way to get the rear brakes back to even normal? Thanks. Peter. |

Title: Re: Again Rear Brakes! Post by martin_rowe on Oct 17th, 2009, 10:03am make sure park brake levers are back to the stops on the calipers, lever has to be free & have full movement for sorrect opeation, wind piston in & then work park lever on caliper to see if piston 'ratchets' out, make sure 'pip' on brake pad lines up with slot in piston. |
