Title: Lambda sensor differences? Post by tlundkvi on Oct 22nd, 2009, 8:17am Hi all, My rear lambda sensors seems to have heater circuit failure, and I might replace them at some point. Or buy new ones front and move the old fronts back. Anyway AFAIK no harm done even if the rears fail completely. I have new cats since 01/2009, so cat monitoring is by no means top priority. But now I check the catalogue, and I get 3 different lambda sensors depending on the position (24V): Front: 2x 7126155 Rear RH: 7126156 Rear LH: 7126157 This difference puzzles me a bit. Is the only difference the length of the wires (front sensors have very long wires), or are there differences in the connector or physical dimensions as well? This seems to be a good deal on ebay BTW: 150379844333 This source 140338450503 lists front and rear RH are replaceable with the same part, so it seems likely they are the same with different lenght, But why a different LH and RH sensor..? As one can see from this 260493139924, no point in soldering a universal sensor. |

Title: Re: Lambda sensor differences? Post by tlundkvi on Oct 22nd, 2009, 9:12am Thanks for the info! Is the front sensor plug then identical to the rear RH plug? Obviously, the rears are different to avoid installing one on the wrong side. But then again you could screw it in on the wrong side. |

Title: Re: Lambda sensor differences? Post by martin_rowe on Oct 22nd, 2009, 11:18am no wire different length. all sensors are the same just plugs & wire length different. good quality universal one will work fine. |
