Title: Boot lock wirings
Post by Tekno on Oct 29th, 2009, 8:14pm
Hello. Does anyone where should I look for wires which gives current to boot lock mechanism on estate. I want to make relay circuit + install push button near driver seat.

I did this on Granada MkIII sedan and it was relatively easy once I found right wires from inside tailgate.

The wires to the tailgate on the estate are routed through a rubber sleeve style grommet in the top right hand corner of the tailgate. Looking at it from the rear. They run under the headlining to this point. ;)

hi  there

are you wanting it to unlock while the ignition is on/engine is running?

if so, get a dealer to enable the taxi option on the fsd2000.

No, it's enough if I can open boot lock when engine is shutted down. Maybe better that way so while driving accidental opening or short circuit in winter do not happen. It was wired that way in my old Granada III also.
