Title: Rears Seat Problem
Post by jon_viola on Nov 7th, 2009, 8:37am
Hi,

My Drivers side rear seat back won't lock into place. The catch seems to be permanently down and i cant move it. Any suggestions? I'm worried it'll fail the MOT!

Cheers

Jon

jon.
The seat belt is not fixed to the seat, therefore MOT should not be affected by it.If the seats were folded down when you go for test, the seatbelts could still be checked.

Tekno,

the locking button or tab is behind the seat in the load area. Look at the top or the rear of the back seat next to where the catch is in the boot or load area

On the saloon it looks like this, if it helps (click to enlarge):

Was it the red one you moved? Are you sure the button(by the headrest) unlocking mechanism is working?

That explains, guess you need to get hold of the missing parts. Is it on both sides like that?
