I have just changed the drivers side doors (thanks Goz) and noticed a couple of strange things, firstly I read are read the instructions on here on how to change the lock so I could fit mine.

I discovered that the lock guard is different on my old door and the one to replace it, this means that the lock can now be removed, without to much hassle.

Secondly my key works in the new lock both to lock and unlock, surely this is not correct? The key that came with the doors will lock but not unlock which is as it should be.

It can happen, there are only so many key combinations but it wont start the car

Correct still use the orginal key for starting.
