Post by valdis.s on Nov 27th, 2009, 10:08pm
Hi!
What is difference between DOHC2000 (136hp Ford Scorpio 2.0 16v) and RS2000 (150hp Ford Escort 2.0 16v)?
head with its components is the same?
what is the difference and why RS2000 is more powerfull?

sorry for my bad english...  :)

Cams are identical.

The extra 14bhp between the two comes from tuning on the ECU and the use of a 4-2-1 tubular manifold and free flow exhuast on the rs2k.

If you happen to have a manual 2.0 scorp, theres a possibilty you could use the RS EECIV ecu to run it which should give you around 150bhp :)
