Title: Tight auto selector ?16v & 24v Post by Stixy on Dec 6th, 2009, 9:23am Probably been mentioned on here many times before . But if you have a 16v or 24v auto and do your own servicing dont forget to lubricate the lower selector rod for the autobox . I have just had one seize and snap the rod on one of my spares cars and it was stuck in Drive all repaired now but i will get the others oiled later today if it stops raining |

Title: Re: Tight auto selector ?16v & 24v Post by Tons_of_fun on Dec 6th, 2009, 2:44pm I use a lubricant called 'Lubrice' for this job. It is in an aerosol can, but acts in a similar way to graphite grease. Cant quite remember where i got it from but think a compant called Autosmart distrobute it. HTH |
