Title: airlock? Post by pagey on Dec 30th, 2009, 9:37am Hello all. Having changed my radiator recently, I now find that the heater is putting out just barely warm air. Is it possible that I have an airlock? I put in a new Ford thermostat as well because the temp needle kept going into the blue and this seems to have rectified that problem. (2.9-12v) Happy new year to all. :) Trev. |

Title: Re: airlock? Post by Scorpio_Mike on Dec 30th, 2009, 11:25am Happy New Year to you Trev, Hope it is not a blocked heater matrix :o Have you tried parking on a slope, front of car facing uphill and running the engine for a few minutes ? I seem to recall this method can help get rid of airlocks on the V6 - maybe worth a try ??? Good luck. |

Take the filler cap off and run the engine at about 2000 rpm whilst holding the heater outlet hose,if it doesn't get hot within a couple of minutes you MAY have a blocked heater.Keep your eye on the header tank whilst you do it,just in case you need to cap it off. All the best GOZZ. |
