Title: Removing sunroof - How easy\difficult???
Post by Moonchalk on Jan 10th, 2010, 12:00pm
My sunroof is broken and I currently have a opportunity to get a working one from a Scorp about to be scrapped.

How easy or difficult is it to remove the whole thing including motor?

Thanks.

From what others have posted ion the past it seems to be a reasonably easy DIY project, Care has to be taken with some of the srews/bolts that may have rusted in. full instructions are on the web site (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/sunroof.htm) . I am quite sure that others will be along very soon with some helpful advice and any pitfalls..  Not a job for the cold weather though unless you have a heated garage!

The removal instructions are HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/body/closures/slideroof.pdf)

The full body closures manual is HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/closuresmanl.htm)

Will only need to do the removal from the scrap Scorp in the cold weather. Was planning to do the full swap later in year.

So I suppose the question should have been:

How difficult is it to remove a Scorp sunroof allowing for current weather conditions?

Thanks.
