Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps Post by tlundkvi on Jan 21st, 2010, 12:48pm Hi, here's one new in Germany, 189 euros delivered to Europe. Only question left is that whether the 2.9i 12V uses the same compressor as the 2.3. Then this should be it. This seller presents a huge compatibility list: 270453059636 OE-Nummer Hersteller 1058052 Ford 94BW19D629CA Ford 94BW19D629CB Ford 96BW19D629CA Ford 97BW19D629CA Ford 97BW19D629CB Ford 01058052 Ford 01035432 Ford XS7H19D629CA Ford R97BW19D629CB Ford 07058039 Ford R94BW19D629CA Ford 01052024 Ford R96BW19D629CA Ford 1035432 Ford 1052024 Ford 6742255 Ford 6866403 Ford 7058039 Ford 93BW19D629EA Ford 93BW19D629EB Ford 01058052 Ford 01035432 Ford XS7H19D629CA Ford R97BW19D629CB Ford 07058039 Ford R94BW19D629CA Ford 01052024 Ford R96BW19D629CA Ford 1035432 Ford 1052024 Ford 6742255 Ford 6866403 Ford 7058039 Ford 93BW19D629EA Ford 93BW19D629EB Ford 1016001017 Visteon And car models: Hersteller Bezeichnung KW PS Baujahr FORD MONDEO I (GBP) 1.8 TD 65 88 06.1993 - 08.1996 FORD MONDEO I (GBP) 1.8 TD 66 90 10.1995 - 08.1996 FORD MONDEO I Kombi (BNP) 1.8 TD 65 88 06.1993 - 08.1996 FORD MONDEO I Kombi (BNP) 1.8 TD 66 90 11.1995 - 08.1996 FORD MONDEO I Kombi (BNP) 1.8 TD 66 90 11.1995 - 08.1996 FORD MONDEO I Stufenheck (GBP) 1.8 TD 65 88 06.1993 - 08.1996 FORD MONDEO I Stufenheck (GBP) 1.8 TD 66 90 10.1995 - 08.1996 FORD MONDEO II (BAP) 1.8 TD 66 90 09.1996 - 11.2000 FORD MONDEO II (BAP) 1.8 i 85 115 09.1996 - 11.2000 FORD MONDEO II Stufenheck (BFP) 1.8 TD 66 90 09.1996 - 11.2000 FORD SCORPIO I (GAE, GGE) 2.0 i 85 115 02.1992 - 09.1994 FORD SCORPIO II (GFR, GGR) 2.9 i 110 150 02.1995 - 08.1998 |

Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps Post by Kenboy on Jan 21st, 2010, 5:24pm I have had contact from the guy in germany and he is requesting that I supply him with the identification numbers that exist on Compressor, this of course is to ensure correct part before dispatch, my question is to thoe's who have experience with this, just were is the id number stamped also if someone should have a spare or recently replaced one maybe you could look and let me know, I do not want to remove compressor before I have another at hand, your help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers kenboy |

Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps Post by Scorpio_Mike on Jan 21st, 2010, 5:34pm I have a spare A/C compressor from a 2.3 which I'm willing to part with. Came off a late facelift model & the guy assured me it was OK before he broke the car up due to rust in the floorpan. Whereabouts are you ? It's quite heavy so postage might be a bit steep. |

Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps/ Clutch Post by Kenboy on Jan 22nd, 2010, 6:47am Your thoughts on this one would be of interest. Because of normaly high mileage, wear and tear on the clutches is inevetiable, consequently replacing a compressor with a used one runs its risks, this will be my third in 8 years, perhaps I have been unlucky I seem to remember reading posts on this subject a while ago, one member said it was fairly straght forward once the compressor is off the car, My computer crashed some time ago and unable to trace this comment but I do remember other members advice was to the contrary, my questions now Is, there a member that can demonstrate the method of replacing the clutch and if so what company supplies them I have searched on Google but to no avail, lasting thought, Ford quoted £427.00 plus vat and approx £150.00 to fit and gas up I know by shopping around, at least a third can be saved but still very expensive, your comments would be most interesting. Regards Kenboy |

Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps Post by gozz on Jan 22nd, 2010, 8:26am Ken. I have fitted a couple of clutches in the past onto 12v compressors without removing them from the engine,as I remember it was a simple operation. The smaller engines have smaller compressors, but I think the method is similar, there is of course no gas loss since the clutch is all external. Must rush off now,if no one else gives you instructions I will have a look tonight. GOZZ. |

Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps Post by Kenboy on Jan 22nd, 2010, 12:43pm Thank you very much for your comments, for the time being I have removed relay 24 from fuse box (Battery Side) isolating clutch mechanism, so I am at least mobile I have various irons in the fire that I will deliberate over, I will keep you dated on this topic. Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps Post by gozz on Jan 22nd, 2010, 8:31pm Ken. 96GW-19D629-AA is the number on the 2.3 compressor,I would think the 2.0 would be the same.It weighs app 7kg,to remove the clutch, take out the 8mm headed bolt in the centre and with a pair of expanding circlip pliers remove the retaining circlip inside. The pulley may need a light tap outwards to remove it. GOZZ |

Title: Re: Air Compressor Pumps Post by Highlander on Jan 22nd, 2010, 8:36pm 2.0 and 16v are the same yes in fact i reckon they are all the same just with different mounts although the actual pulleys are different |
