Glad you got it sorted Brownie. Got to be honest 36 miles to £20 is quite a shocker. 70-80 miles to £20 is about what i get from the cossie, so not too bad there then. Nice motors the 24v mondeos. I was actually on my way to look at one when i stumbled across my cossie ( aint fate great ) ;). Happy motoring m8 & hope you get the scorpio back on the road soon... Craig :)

Bloody hell  :o
I've been complaining that I only get 140ish out of £20 in my diesel.
I used to get 200+ out of my old 306.  }{

Rob...Seriously , you get 140 miles from £20 in a scorpio diesel  :o. Thats a lot more than i thought you could get  ::) Have been thinking about getting an old diesel scorp for the monday to friday stuff. That means i could do my weekly commute on £15 instead of the usual 30  ;) ;D

Most of my commute (50 miles a day) to work is motorway, & I get around 35-36mpg.
£20 only gets me 4 gallons now so it works out around the 140 mile mark.

I currently get between 420-450 mile to a tank (around £60),
although I'm hoping that may improve with the new injectors.

The old 20 / 20 eh. I LOVE the cossie  :-* but cant really cant afford to run it anymore  :'(. My daily commute consists of 5 miles back streets & 5 miles 50mph dual carrigeway ( one way ). Usually spend 10 mins stuck in traffic ( at busy islands ) & put in around £30 per week. So by my reconing a diesel should save me £15 a week. Only problem is i wont be able to upset the 5 series drivers on my way home of a friday ( i know.... 5 year old at heart )  ;D. It is a serious consideration though  ::)

Very true. I do miss not having a car with 200-300BHP on tap.

I have to be sensible though, & 12-15mpg isn't an option ATM  ;D

I get the best of both worlds now, the S Class is a diesel so returns a good 30mpg on average plus it has over 200 bhp under the bonnet!! ;D

Hi, frosty again ain't it, anyway, to the subject folks  :)  As the Cossies are very expensive to run over short distances etc I also have a -----Wait for it------ a Citroen AX 954cc's  ::) for short journeys to the shops.  Saves me loads of dosh for the times when I do use one of the Cossies.  I've had the AX for some 3 years now and think it is a great little car.
