Title: Re: ac Post by tonyboy on Feb 9th, 2010, 8:57pm Just had a read about the A/C it seems that when the a/c button is pressed off ( green light off ) ( a/c is on by default ) this disengages the magnetic clutch, although the drive belt is still spinning. The CC can run in auto with the a/c off. Unless the outside temp gets low then it goes into defrost mode automatically for about 5 minutes, which means that it will overide the air distribution setting and go to defrost the windscreen... hth ..... P.S. Your like me it tends to sink in my brain if someone explains it to me, but if i read it it don,t compute, and dissapears out my brain after 10 minutes..... ::) |

Title: Re: ac Post by gozz on Feb 9th, 2010, 9:25pm Gost. I reckon if the green light is off in the A/C switch, the compressor cannot pump because there is no power to it,however being automatic,if the big knob is on auto the compressor will be under automatic control, and will cut in and out accordingly,if the control knob is turned past auto it should not, until you press the A/C button. GOZZ. |

Title: Re: ac Post by Simmo on Feb 10th, 2010, 8:05am Don't forget, IIRC, that if the control postion is set to 'Windscreen'. Then the system is 'on' whatever the green light says. ;). I take it at the next Kent meet Bruce you will be holding a 'Car Park Workshop' !!. ;D. |
