Title: low coolant level switch
Post by goonerwill on Feb 19th, 2010, 11:50pm
Hi All just a little niggle the low coolant switch on my 2.5td which pushes in to the bottom of the header tank keeps vibrating loose and falling out causing the low coolant light to come up on the dash . Coolant levels are fine so it is more of an annoyance than a performance issue any ideas of how i can secure the switch in place would be much appreciated thanks
Will

Will,

the switch should push and twist-lock into place not just push fit. Try pushing it right the way in and then a quarter turn to the right.

If not, it could be the locking lug has snapped off or broken either the one on the sensor or the header tank itself

Regards
