2.3... clunks in front both sides for first 3-4 miles then gradually clears...had drop links changed which were worn but nothing else seems to have any play

any guidance would be appreciated,,tks

or the brakes as in the same issue as jonnycab?

If it's high up then could be top bush/bearings on the struts  :-/.... :)

yes it is high up ...excuse my ignorance what bearing ? what strut ?

The bush & bearing (or should I say bearing ring) are at the top of the strut. It isn't possible to see the bearing & difficult to see the bush without removing the whole strut.

To check the bush hasn't collapsed though, with the bonnet open, bounce either side of the car & listen for any knocking coming from the top of the strut tower  :)

ok tks....tried bouncing  the car on each side...quite as can be
maybe its the anti roll bar bushes...sounds like the drop links but theyve been changed....and clears after 30 mins driving
