Bobbit.
The sensor is usually fairly easy to remove with a ring spanner which fits over the cable, the two star headed  bolts holding the pipe are almost impossible to remove in situ, best remove the bracket from the bell housing and get it on the bench with heat, the clamp around the cat is much the same, the nut being corroded,it is worth working on it though to save shearing it off and the need for a repair, the two bolts holding the main clamp bracket to the engine are inaccessible with the cat in place and the two holding the clamp to that bracket are usually corroded.
If your new cat is a pattern part the clamp does not fit and is therefore not necessary as the cat is bolted to the manifold and the pipe bracket only, furthermore the heat shield bracket is not present and the heat shield cannot be fitted in it,s entirety.

the top 4 15mm nuts are in receses so clean the rust and crud out first use a hex socket not bihex the last one i had to grind a socket down to fit in the receses after rounding off  one nut with a bihex socket

Hi Guys
Thanks for your input, it seems the biggest problem is getting the old one of.
It is a pattern one I have ordered from buypartsby in england, but they will not deliver to France, so I have to wait until my friend comes over at end of May.
Good price £82, in France same part 300 Euros?.
Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks Bob

I think there is a much more expensive version with a 4 year guarantee (?), but I've just got the $82 one as well, ceramic

I got mine for the 24V from there too, they delivered "inofficially" for me to Finland. But that was then a one-timer. It is really weird that companies have this restriction, when there are customers all over Europe more than happy to pay the extra shipping. The shipping was £40 for two, but similar ones would at the time have been £250 more. A pattern cat is usually 300 euros in Finland, and the box only is at 100e. My 24V cats were cheaper than box-only's in Finland :)
