Title: Engine Temp Senser Post by Robin.M on Jun 7th, 2010, 4:21pm Hi all On my 2.5 diesel saloon the red engine overheating dashboard light is on all the time, even when engine is cold, the temp gauge stays normal in its reading. Is there a temp senser that may be faulty that I could change? |

Title: Re: Engine Temp Senser Post by Robin.M on Jun 7th, 2010, 6:10pm It is the Temp Warning Light - checked handbook. The light is on all the time although when the engine is started there is a fliker of on off. The car is '98 diesel auto with low milage and it has recently lost the acceleration, just slowly pulls away. I wondered if the car is in some 'safe mode' because of the warning light. I have just bought for a few pounds a '98 diesel auto estate which failed the MOT on rusted sills and abs problem but it goes well. I can check any parts by changing them over. I intend to bring the estate back to life over the summer Geraint |
