I decided to get some new rear arches on the ex Pete from Hull propane special,so to give the body man some room,removed the mudguard liners and rear bumper.This is the first vehicle I've had with the new fangled reversing sensors,and finding four wires inside the bumper,and entering the boot,chopped em off to reconnect later !! After duly refurbishing the beast,it was time to join the wires !
Yes that's right,they are not just wires,but rather like a miniature co-ax,they a now butchered beyond use, a neurosurgeon could fix em,but as I don't know one they will need replacing.
Should there be anyone on here who is not au fait with the device,BEWARE.

If they're coax then may be possible to remove the outer sheath, unravel the screening braid into strands, twist them together, then carefully strip the inner conductor. Might then be possible to solder all the ends back together but each separate conductor will need insulating with tape. If you've never done anything like this before can be extremely fiddly. ;D

Maybe you can connect them back with some inline coax connectors. there's some here (http://www.microwavedistributors.com/request_midisco_cat_toc.html#coaxconnectors)
you will need the size of the cable............ Or as Mike says cut he outer sheath.... but be carefull.... the braid is very thin and easy to cut through......
