Title: Re: Radio code Post by Highlander on Aug 10th, 2010, 9:35am Your radio may have been recoded at some point, are you entering the code correctly? |
Title: Re: Radio code Post by micky5 on Aug 10th, 2010, 1:45pm yes i enter code via 1-4 buttons, and add it with the #5 but it just comes up counting down to adding another code |
Title: Re: Radio code Post by Highlander on Aug 10th, 2010, 2:11pm counting down? 30 minutes? Is your serial no. definitely correct? M000208? Sometimes I pull the radio out, read the number and by the time I'm back in the house I've muddled it :D |

Title: Re: Radio code Post by Mike H on Aug 10th, 2010, 3:01pm How many consecutive goes are you allowed to put a number in? Is that what the 'counting down' is, you're not allowed to try again until it's finished (counting down) OK this is what I've found ~ "If 3 incorrect codes are entered, a 30 minute delay ensues during which the unit must be left on with ignition key at position 1." (until it's ready again presumably) "Warning! will only accept 10 attempts at keycode entry. Any further attempts will render the unit permanently inoperative, i.e. unit is 'locked out' and must be reprogrammed by Ford" |
Title: Re: Radio code Post by Highlander on Aug 10th, 2010, 3:18pm After 10 wrong attempts the display will show LOCK 10 Holding button 6 while turning the radio on will give you a further 3 attempts. If these three are entered incorrectly the display will then show LOCK 13 and you will now need to get it reprogrammed |

Title: Re: Radio code Post by Mike H on Aug 10th, 2010, 6:54pm Majik. ;D You forget of course (I forgot) it's not keys '1 4 2 3' whatever = the code! It's click 1 X times for the 1st number (=X), click 2 Y times for the second number and so on |
Title: Re: Radio code Post by micky5 on Aug 11th, 2010, 12:06am thats what i did, clicked numbers 1-4.. to enter code numbers, and then 5 to confirm it it then goes into a countdown mode till u can try again |

Title: Re: Radio code Post by micky5 on Aug 11th, 2010, 12:09am just checked the radio serial # again, and its definetly M000208 |
Title: Re: Radio code Post by Highlander on Aug 11th, 2010, 1:54pm Code must have been reprogrammed at some point, not written on the radio anywhere by any chance? ;) Might be cheaper getting another radio rather than paying someone to decode it? |
