This page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/24vrebuildcyl.htm) and the links on the left hand side may help.  :)

why are you stripping the engine?

the manifold has to come off left to right (looking from the front of the engine), watch the vacuum pipes as the plastic connectors snap extremely easily,

the head water connector y shaped piece, on the left had side there is a link tube, use some pliers to waggle it into the main body, makes getting the right hand union easier to get off

if the heads are coming off then apart from the main head bolts theres 1 allen pin in each of the head chain areas and on the left (iirc) head you need to remove a bung and remove a pin on the chain guide

make a note of which came cam from where, theres a code stamped in each one

this will help http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/engines/24v/24VDismantle.pdf

Hi Matt

I'm only taking off the cam covers as the gaskets are leaking. The engine is going into a TVR and so the exhaust manifolds will not fit. Also removing Power Steering pump and A/C pump + Viscous fan. Different engine mounts and fitting to a manual MT75 box.

I bought the engine already out of a scorpio and so don't have the info on what connects to what and much of the hoses have been chopped.

the BOB (scorpio) lumps dont have viscous fans, the earlier BOA did (granada)

are you fitting a 2wd box?

it is a BOA - sorry I did not say before

The box is a hybrid 2wd - V6 front and internals into a 2.0ltr rear casing.

Diff now a 4.27 with proper LSD (not viscous)
