does anyone know if after removing the glass (the glass is held in with x6 screws any can be easily removed) can the grey sliding panel be pulled out ? I dont want to remove entire sunroof I just want access to the grey panel,,hoping to replace it

Something I need to do in the very near future but from what I have read, you need to take the complete sunroof out, protecting the paintwork as you do it. Remove all the screws and gently pull the complete unit out.   Lee

The sunroof glass panel can be removed separately from the mechanism - 3 screws each side, apply WD40 the night before as they can be a pain to remove - the screw heads can 'round out' if you're not careful though. Don't use an impact driver or the plastic side mounts can crack. Pozidrive No.3 bit I think.

ok thanks for that especially re the screws...i tried them earlier and realised they were really stuck in there so actually did what you suggested..they're bathed in wd 40 as we speak !

just wanted to find out whether the grey panel would pull out from the front once glass removed but i think not

As Mike say's, the glass can be removed seperately but to get the panel out, you need  to remove the whole unit.  Lee
