Title: pipe help needed?
Post by 2ndgear on Oct 21st, 2010, 6:41pm
What pipe should go to and from here. Its missing on mine and running like a bag of !!!@£

Its on the inlet manifold at the back of the idle air control valve.

Looks like the drain valve to me. To drain condensation from the AC. But i might be wrong. Sure someone will say what it is

It runs poorly because its a vacuum feed and its right under the idle control valve, from memory and im going back a long time, threes some gubbins one on the inner wings with vacuum pipes going to and from it, i think there should be a connection from that to that

It goes to the item in the second drawing on this page:

As Matt says it's on the wing - near to the inlet manifold.

Mine’s a corrugated pipe with a right angle rubber boot at the manifold end.

2nd gear.
There should be a rubber elbow pushed onto that stub pipe, then a plastic tube to the evap valve as said, down low on the O/S inner wing.
