Can anyone please tell me where this thing lives on a 2.3. I am told mine needs changing as the oil light is always on. I have bought the new one but cannot find it on the engine. Help please...

If you go to This page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/engines/dohc2_3/2300Dismantle.pdf) and scroll down to item 10 the position is shown on the diagram above. ;)

It's easier to get at from underneath with the oil filter removed.
