Title: Exhaust for a 2.3 Ghia Post by sirbb on Mar 4th, 2011, 5:45pm Hello, Can anybody give me some pointers as to where I can purchase either a new or a used exhaust system for my 1997 Scorpio 2.3 16v Ghia. It requires everything from the 'flexi pipe' (?) back. I have just been quoted £480 (inc. VAT) by a local garage (not funny) :o Thanks. |

Title: Re: Exhaust for a 2.3 Ghia Post by Mike H on Mar 5th, 2011, 2:07pm All those figures sound about right. Then there's always BuyPartBy on the web, if they've got 'em for the 2.3 http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/ Trouble with 2nd hand is you can't be sure what state it's in |

Title: Re: Exhaust for a 2.3 Ghia Post by sirbb on Mar 5th, 2011, 5:35pm Thank you very much for the information - much appreciated. Presumably this is something I can fit myself without too much hassle given that it is from the flexible pipe back and not involving the cat? |

Not difficult - basic hand tools + ramps & or axle stands. Done a few myself...or find a local friendly mechanic and wave some cash under his nose ;) |

I used a hand held gas blowlamp similar to this on mine > http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/9792/torchandgas.jpg (http://img535.imageshack.us/i/torchandgas.jpg/) |
