Title: 2.0 Piston Compression Height? Post by Nashius on Mar 10th, 2011, 10:46am I'm after the compression height for a 2.0 piston, cant find it in the manual. Trying to find some compatible forged pistons from other engines that might suit the 2.0. Thanks |

Title: Re: 2.0 Piston Compression Height? Post by Highlander on Mar 10th, 2011, 10:52am Which engine are you working with? In your previous post you mention the 2.0 8v but is it from the Scorpio? http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Advice;action=display;num=1298091193;start=0#0 My knowledge isn't great on these but a few of the guys on here have done a lot of work with Sierra/Granada/Scorpio combinations |

Title: Re: 2.0 Piston Compression Height? Post by Nashius on Mar 10th, 2011, 11:01am Im after the piston specs for a 2.0 16v engine. I have a 2.0 8v block and want to put a 16v head on it along with a turbo. So im looking at forged pistons that might be compatible that have the compression height, pin bore etc, heard the vaxhaull C20LET pistons can be used. No, its not a scorpio engine. My engine is from an australian ford transit van but i beleive the scorpio and transit engines are exactly the same. |

Title: Re: 2.0 Piston Compression Height? Post by Highlander on Mar 10th, 2011, 12:01pm There might well be, however have you tried the Transit forum? http://fordtransit.org/forum/ They have a huge membership and database compared to us and theres loads of engine alteration threads, you may have more luck there? |

Title: Re: 2.0 Piston Compression Height? Post by Nashius on Mar 10th, 2011, 12:13pm Yeah i tried the transit forum and the rs2000 forums aswell but no one really knows or wants to help. Guess ill just have to pull the block apart and measure the piston myself. |

Title: Re: 2.0 Piston Compression Height? Post by martin_rowe on Mar 11th, 2011, 9:02am most piston manufacturers catologues have all the dimensions in, the 'Hepolite' one used to be very informative, try contacting a local shop that supplies engine parts to the trade. |

Im refering to the distance between the top of piston and the centre of the pin hole. My pistons are dished. I know the 2.3 pistons have are compression height of 28.5mm but cant find any info on the 2.0 |
