Title: oil in water on a vm
Post by 5stud on Mar 24th, 2011, 9:35am
brotther has just picked up a grande voiager with a east-west vm moter.is it poseble to get oil in the water by  way of the heads ase the oil feed is external to each head so it cant be from the head gasket.ase in the scorpio the is a water bottel on top of the moter that looks just right to be filed up with oil

Looking at one of my spare heads the only way I can see how oil can get into the water is maybe a crack in one of the heads if it's severly contaminating the water. Small amounts of oil maybe in there from if a container with a small amount of oil still in it was used to fill it up with coolant sometime in the past.
