Post by ALAN on Apr 13th, 2011, 7:22pm
I have a 2.9 24v cosworth and it has had probems for a few months now, i recently found out that the engine wiring looms need replacing, i have seen these on e bay (FORD SCORPIO 24V COSWORTH ENGINE LOOM) it does say the complete set for £250, sorry dont know how to do a link, anyway does this look a good buy or is there anywhere else you may know of, thanks

This one?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-SCORPIO-24V-COSWORTH-ENGINE-LOOM-/250797861282?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a64b7a9a2#ht_500wt_1156

Thats the main loom from the battery side fusebox/ECU etc that runs from behind the glovebox down the NS chassis rail round the front crossmember to the inner OS wing.

The actual engine loom that connects directly to the engine with the injector, cranksensor, temp sensor connectors etc is a seperate loom (and not shown) which plugs into that one via the large brown and black multiplugs (top left)

IF its new and if its what you are after then a very good  price but personally I'd find one off a scrapper and repair it.
