I've had a look at the schematic drawings on site for this relay. Is it relay 17 http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/battery_fusebox.gif ::)

That's the fuel pump relay Adam,the WOT is 24.

Is the handbook incorrect as it shows 24 as Air Con.

There are a few anomolous descriptions in the handbook,though in this case that relay cuts the compressor when full throttle is used.
