Do you mean the range switch on the nearside of the transmission ?

Gozz it is in relation to the CTM.
In a previous thread it stated that the CTM module is dedicated to all timing & chiming functions, is controlled by the Autogear lever position potentiometer, the KEY-IN, lights-on and driver door entry-light switch through the CCM's software, next to the EEC-V.
It may well mean the range switch but unsure if this is the potentiometer. Thanks Adam

If you mean the "PRNGL switch" (pronounced pringle ;D ) info here ~ means grovelling about underneath I'm afraid.

WARNING mark the exact position of the old one so can put the new one (if it comes to that) on the same angle, as it is adjustable for angle. And yes it includes switch contacts for various things other as well so could be that

The "Chimes" are not controlled by the range sensor on the transmission.  They are controlled by a microswitch on the gear lever itself, inside the car under the gear lever cover.............

A lot of peeps pull the wire off this to stop the annoying chiming ;)

I took the cover of my autobox selector and could not find a switch. My parking sensors and dipping mirror don't always work when I put the car into reverse gear. I sometimes have to put the car into reverse a few times before they work.

Cheers,

Simon

As far as I can remember it is at the front of the assembly, will try and dig one out for a look see this week  ;)

Mind, I've just remembered the car I had problems with was my old 12V which uses a different transmission with no Range Sensor, so maybe this only applies to 12V cars  ???

Perhaps someone else knows ???

Cheers Dave
