Title: Need a Towbar fitting...advice please Post by bonnietiler on May 7th, 2011, 12:23pm Now, here I am with my RUST-FREE...yes rust free Scorpio and I would like a Towbar fitting, are there any preferred fitters of these, as I don't really want some oik drilling through hither and yon making a mess. Are there Better makes and worserer ones, could I do this myself (pretty handy) 24v Estate model..Sunny Manchester way Price important but rather pay more and have it done right....or do it myself.. Any help much appreciated bonnietiler |

Title: Re: Need a Towbar fitting...advice please Post by Scorpio_Mike on May 7th, 2011, 8:01pm I fitted a s/h Witter tow bar on mine - looked almost new - picked it up for £35 on ebay, quite local so collected it. Very easy to fit - couple of hours with tea breaks - although I got a garage to wire up the electrics for about £50 Most difficult bit was removing the bumper brackets as the Torx headed bolts were a bit rusty and 'rounded out' - had to resort to the angle grinder :( |
