Title: Battery Booster Post by PJDavis on May 28th, 2011, 2:45pm My trusty quite old battery-booster has finally given in! It was one of the first ones on the market, and has done me proud. Course it didn't help that it got dropped off a truck about six months ago, by an idiot that forgot it was there! Anyways, I'm going to have to get a new one, is there any recommendations? I don't want to spend an awful lot because I don't need to use it much, anyone got a cheap one that they can say was good for the money? It'll sit in the shed most of the time, it needs to have a power-outlet and a light. Peter |

Title: Re: Battery Booster Post by amigafan2003 on May 28th, 2011, 3:06pm What's wrong with the old one? It's quite easy to replace the lead acid batteries in them. |

Title: Re: Battery Booster Post by PJDavis on May 28th, 2011, 5:07pm It's been well abused. 'Tis what happens when you lend them to folks. Casing is cracked, and it had an internal spill for a while, power take off doesn't work, light no longer works even with new bulb, and I've already taken it to the local scrappy for the lead! :D |

Title: Re: Battery Booster Post by Scorpio_Mike on May 28th, 2011, 6:39pm I got one quite recently from Maplins - got a light, compressor, 12v sockets and 240v inverter. About £60 I think. |
